Foods I Will Stay Away From

All fried foods
High-fat/processed meats
Anything made with refined sugar (which includes sugar, corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, and sucrose and sucralose)
Anything made with white flour
Margarine
Whole-fat cheese
Cream
Dried fruit/fruit juice** (or if you do VERY small quantities)
Some common foods that fall into these categories:
Baked goods
All sugary breakfast cereals
Most breakfast bars (Read labels!  No sugar, white flour, high fat content)
Cakes
Candy
Chocolate
Condiments with sugar (ketchup, BBQ sauce, etc)
Cookies
Donuts
Ice Cream
Pastries
Pies
Granola**
Potato chips
French fries
Fruit ‘drinks’
Sugar-sweetened beverages
All sodas that aren’t diet (Coke, Pepsi, etc.)
Bacon
Fast-food sandwiches and burgers (Subway turkey on WHEAT is acceptable)
Hot dogs
Jerky
Salami
Sausage
Bologna
Chicken nuggets, strips, fingers
Fish sticks
Mayonnaise
**not junk food, but very high calorie
