Hamburgers and Fries
Recipe type: Beef, Fries, Main Dishes, Potatoes, Yams
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1-2 potatoes per person (depending on size of potato)
  1. Mix the turkey and ground beef together then added one onion soup mix packet and form into hamburger patties.
  2. Cut your potatoes in French fry strips.
  3. Coat cookie sheet with cooking spray and place potatoes on sheet. Season with salt (other seasonings can be fun too)
  4. Bake at 400 º.
  5. Watch closely and turn to make sides crispy.
  6. You can also do this on the stove top with a small amount of olive oil. (It just depends on your fat allotment.)
My family ate the burgers with whole wheat buns; I didn’t have a bun, but put tomatoes and lettuce with it. Personally, I love the yam fries (sweet potato)! Follow the same above instructions. Last night I made two separate batches, one with Idaho potatoes and one with yams. Both got slicked up. Serve with a BIG SALAD!!
